Weatherproofing must be considered in both the build and finish of a home. Without proper sealing, grading and flashing the water resistant barrier of a home will be compromised allowing leaks to occur.

If not obvious, tell tale signs of a compromised water barrier are musty odors, cracks and crumbling, discoloration and loose or spongy feeling walls, floors or ceilings. Over time, water infiltration will cause dry rot in wood framing and efflorescence in concrete.

Typical locations for leaks to occur are at the seams of your home, around windows, doors and vents or where water is utilized inside the home around toilets, showers, faucets or the plumbing and drains for appliances.
